Okay, so the fictional family I'm feeling tonight is the Allen family. Andre Allen, to be specific, from the movie Top Five starring Chris Rock and Gabrielle Union. So how set up the scene. So Chris Rock is a, or Andre Allen, is a well-known comedian, or he was a comedian turned actor, and then fell off because he had an alcohol problem. So he was an alcoholic, kind of fell off, but then has started to come back and climbing the ladder again. And he's engaged to this beautiful Eric Along, played by Gabrielle Union. And Erica is a reality TV star. So everything's about what's been seen on camera. So she's beautiful. Everything's for show. For example, Andre bought her beautiful, beautiful engagement ring. She felt it was too small for the show. So she went out and bought her own, something a little bit bigger. But hey, that's who she was. The scene, Andre has fallen off the wagon, had a bad day, got drunk, fell off the wagon, goes to a grocery store, tears up the grocery store in a fit of rage, gets arrested, he's in jail. He calls Erica, she's going off. You're on CNN, you're on this outlet, you're making a spectacle of our lives, of our love. everything's about what the world could see to her and he's saying from jail i'm sorry i'm sorry and she says you can fix this and he's i don't know how i can fix this she says you're supposed to be at your bachelor um your bachelor party you go to your bachelor party right now because it will be filmed so that everyone can see that our love is strong and we're gonna get married and we're still gonna do this and he says to her I'm an alcoholic. I don't need a party. I'm an alcoholic. And she's like, you're going to that party. You are going to that party because what mattered to her was what the world perceived of her.
